Log houses
Log buildings are clearly one of the oldest construction types throughout the Northern hemisphere. Also in Latvia log buildings have centuries-old and cultivated traditions.
Historically, log homes mostly were built as relatively small buildings with low ceilings and small windows. Life of such buildings, properly maintaining them, was, as a minimum, a few centuries. A modern log house is an ecological house of the same quality, which can be built according to the best traditions of our ancestors, but with technical and design solutions appropriate to the modern age and lifestyle.
